Pretty Table

Image
I love being creative when I have items I love that I need to figure out how to use or display in my home. This was the easiest table I ever made and it always starts conversations! I simply fell in love with a wagon wheel which turns out to not be a wagon wheel at all but a wheel from the 1800s used on a "Horse Treadmill"... look it up, they actually had them! I researched the name on it M. Harder and Found it in the Encyclopedia of American Farm Implements and Antiquities! All I did was search for a base and found a heavy metal bird feeder for FREE and attached the wheel with heavy duty picture hanging wire. I originally purchased a piece of mirror for this piece as I liked the way it looked in my video where I used a round ill fitted mirror just for the video's sake... However after finding out the interesting history I purchased a clear piece of glass so that the engraving of M. Harder showed through. Please watch my video to see how nice it came out. The r

Accent Wall Ideas

Image
One incredible way update a room is with an accent wall.  I created a dramatic accent wall for very little money! It is truly a statement wall and everyone loves it! It is so easy to do. I simply chose a wall and selected a dark dramatic paint for the top and a light cream color for the bottom. I used white board or white wood and created paneling in minutes. I then bought a removable wall decal of a tree in a gold color and BAM! A dramatic accent wall with expensive looking molding! Pot Rack

Image
This pot rack has brought me so many compliments. It has a modern yet rustic feel to it. It was also ridiculously easy and costs pennies compared to those pot racks you buy from a store!!! Watch my video!!!!   www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sfImUJYiag  Things you will need:  -A straight piece of wood.... I always use white wood also referred to as white board. I use this on many of my projects. It is cheap, found in any store where they sell lumber and it is very cheap. You can measure out the length that will fit your space and cut it to any size. -Stain or paint... Paint it or stain it to your taste. I went with a stain color to match my cabinets. -Two eye bolts with nuts... Should be long enough to go through wood and fasten securely with nuts. -Screw eye bolts... as many as you need. This is what you hang the pots from. -S-hooks or pot rack hooks... they will hang on the eyebolts to hang the pots from. -Chandelier chain and wire to anchor it into the ceiling.

Pendant Light

Watch this and many more videos on my YouTube Channel! Click link below: http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCsloBiNAUQE9xImAwgWOGtA One of my most popular videos is of this yarn pendant light which is so easy and cheap to make!  Watch my video at   www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZLufAajl5M All you need are the following: - A large blow up ball... A balloon can be used but keep in mind that the shape of the balloon will be the shape of the pendant light. I would prefer to use a punching ball balloon which has a round shape. I chose to use a medium sized exercise ball which came with a pump for refilling and deflating. I love the fact that instead of having to pop it to get it out of the ball I can reuse it over and over again. - Fabric Stiffener... I used Stiffy brand but there are many other brands available. Fabric Stiffener is a white glue that dries clear and hard. I have had viewers who had success making their own stiffener but I have not tried any of these recipes. - Yarn..
